Mumbai: Death toll reaches 3 in footover bridge collapse; 34 injured
At least three persons were killed and 34 injured after a foot over-bridge collapsed near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) railway station in Mumbai. The incident took place on Thursday evening. The bridge connected the bustling CST railway station with the Azad Maidan Police Station.
The bridge collapsed at around 7:30 pm, when a it major portion caved in. According to police, 23 injured have been shifted to St George and GT hospitals. Four people reportedly suffered serious injuries.
