Lok Sabha Polls 2019: Political story of Kashi
Modi is seeking re-election from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In 2014, Modi won the seat by a margin of over three lakh votes against Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal. Modi got 5,81,022 votes, Kejriwal 2,09,238 votes and Ajay Rai of Congress managed about 75,614 votes.
The 2019 Indian general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.
