Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Gautam Gambhir offers prayers

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday fielded former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir from East Delhi constituency for the Lok Sabha elections. There were speculations that the saffron party would contest him from New Delhi which is currently held by Meenakshi Lekhi.  However, Lekhi would again compete from the New Delhi seat, the party said.

Gambhir is pitted against former Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Lovely and Atishi Marlena of AAP. Delhi will vote on May 12.
