Full PC: BJP pulls out of J&K government, demands governor rule
In a major political move, BJP withdrew its support from People’s Democratic Party in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, shaking the foundation of Mehbooba government in the state as it is propelled in minority.
BJP has also sent the letter of withdrawal to the Governor.
Of a total of 87 seats, PDP holds 28 seats while BJP has 25. 44 seats is the requirement for majority.
BJP has also demanded for governor’s rule in the state as the government in Jammu and Kashmir is sure to fall head on.
In a press briefing, BJP leader Ram Madhav informed that the suspension of anti-militancy operations during Ramzan is the major factor which led to BJP’s alienation.
Ram Madhav said: “we had formed alliance for peace and development but on the contrary terrorism has escalated in the valley. Journalist like Shujaat Bukhari was killed openly.”
