EVM Hacking Case: Syed Suja never worked with ECIL
The Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), the manufacturer of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), on Tuesday clarified that Syed Suja, the independent hacker who made 'tampering' claims regarding EVMs, never worked with the company. The state-owned company, one of the two which make EVMs, claimed that he was never associated with the EVM-designing team between 2009-2014. Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) lodged a police complaint against Suja for his claims regarding EVMs.
