European Union MPs to visit Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of present situation
A 28-member delegation of European Union parliamentarians is set to visit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. These MPs will take a stock of the ground situation prevailing in the valley after the abrogation of Article 370. This was the article that provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation met Prime Minister Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Monday in New Delhi. The NSA briefed them on both developments in Kashmir and prevailing terror threat across the country.
