In an exclusive conversation with ABP News, Nishad Party chief and UP government cabinet minister Sanjay Nishad said that lies were told on the issue of reservation. He further added that the way the opposition set the narrative, they benefited from it. Dalits were in a state of fear. They have been successful in the narrative they set.

This comes after a massive blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA bloc in Uttar Pradesh, the opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A bagged 43 seats out of a total of 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state, as per the Election Commission. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP-led NDA had secured 64 seats.
