Union Budget 2024: More job opportunities and better skills high on wish list of students in Patna

Students in Bihar's capital city of Patna have appealed to union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to announce measures in the upcoming budget which will generate more employment and enhance their skills. Many students say, with a large young population, the country needs efforts that will make the youth better equipped to do skilled jobs. To enable this, according to students in Patna, the government should open more technical institutes like IITs and medical colleges and increase intake in existing higher educational institutes.A section of the students preparing for competitive exams also feel, lapses like paper leaks have affected their confidence and efforts should be made to stop this menace. According to some students for the youth of India to be on par with the rest of the developed world, more investments need to be made to improve basic infrastructure in the field of education.
