Mohan Savarkar, Chief Product Officer of Tata Motors, recently discussed the launch of the new Tata Curve, which features the advanced 1.2-liter Hyperion petrol engine. This gasoline direct injection engine boasts enhanced power and torque compared to previous models, delivering up to 250 Nm under sport mode. Savarkar emphasized the engine's modern technology, including advanced fuel injection and AI capabilities. He confirmed plans to introduce this engine across multiple future Tata models, enhancing overall fuel efficiency. While diesel remains vital for Tata's portfolio, Savarkar noted that demand for diesel engines persists, especially in larger vehicles. The Curve is expected to generate strong interest as it becomes available for test drives.
