When a national security threat confronts the nation, it is the duty of the citizens, especially the political leadership to come together by putting their differences aside. However, in the current atmosphere, it seems as if even martyrs' ultimate sacrifice can't escape politicisation. In its mouthpiece Saamana, Shiv Sena has targeted PM Modi for praising the Bihar regiment whose soldiers were killed in action in the Galwan clash. Shiv Sena said that PM Modi is invoking Bihar pride ahead of state elections.
