Chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, and an industrialist who is admired for his simplicity, Ratan Tata turned 84 on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Chairman emeritus of Tata Sons and an industrialist who is admired for his simplicity, Ratan Tata turned 84 on Tuesday. A video of his birthday celebration has been doing rounds on social media where the leading industrialist could be seen blowing his birthday candles on a cupcake while one of his office assistants clapped and sang around him. 

The 30-second video posted on LinkedIn by Vaibhav Bhoir shows Ratan Tata in a bright blue shirt blowing candles off on a cupcake, while the young employee sang for him and later fed him a chunk of the cupcake. He captioned the video 'simplicity' and wrote him to be “nation's pride and inspiration for all.”

Bhoir’s LinkedIn bio says that he works as a Business Development Manager at Tata Motor Finance. 

Seeing the chairman emeritus of one of India’s largest conglomerates celebrating such a simple birthday made netizens respect him even more. A LinkedIn user wrote in the comments section, “No matter what age you are, what religion you belong to, what kind of business you are in.. the moment Mr. Tata comes on the screen, there is only one thought - Respect from core of heart…”
