Scindia Plays Antakshari With Journalists On Inaugural Gwalior-Bengaluru Express: WATCH
Union Minister Scindia plays Antakshari with passengers during the Gwalior-Bengaluru Express launch, turning the train ride into a musical journey. Watch the heartwarming moments onboard.

Passengers traveling between Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and Bengaluru can now look forward to a smoother, more convenient journey. The Indian Railways has launched the Gwalior-SMVT Bengaluru Express, a weekly train designed to ease long-distance travel. The inaugural run took place on June 26, marked by a unique moment of camaraderie and celebration aboard the new service.
In a heartwarming and unexpected gesture, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia not only flagged off the train but also boarded it—choosing to ride in the general coach alongside regular passengers and journalists. What followed was a scene rarely seen in Indian politics: the minister engaging in lively conversation, taking selfies, and even playing a spirited round of Antakshari, the beloved Indian singing game.
Sharing a video of the moment on social media, Scindia wrote:
"Suhana Safar Aur Yeh Mausam Haseen…🎶
Played Antakshari today with fellow passengers and journalist friends aboard the Gwalior-Bengaluru Express!"
Joining the virtual flag-off ceremony were Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. But Scindia’s decision to ride along added a personal, human touch to the event. In one of the most talked-about clips from the journey, Scindia can be seen singing the classic 1958 Bollywood hit "Suhana Safar Aur Yeh Mausam Haseen..." from the film Madhumati—only to pause mid-line as he briefly forgot the lyrics, drawing laughter and cheers from those around him.
सुहाना सफर और ये मौसम हसीं…🎶

He wasn’t alone on the ride. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar also boarded the train after the flag-off. Scindia later moved to the sleeper coach, where he chatted with passengers, listened to their experiences, and shared a light-hearted comment:
"The real fun is here. You don’t get this in an AC coach—people there are always too cold!"
