In response to the growing concern over global warming, the organisers of the Lalabagan Nabankur Durga Puja Pandal have embraced sustainability by the creation of an eco-friendly 'Green Pandal' that enhances environmental protection by generating lesser waste. This Durga Puja pandal has cught people's attention and been trending on social media with the name 'Green Pandal'.
This year's theme, 'Nabankur' which means 'new life', beautifully depicts the growth and development of thousands of saplings. Designed by the talented artist Prasanta Pal, the Durga Puja pandal seamlessly blends creativity with ecological responsibility. The artist has used 8000 plants of more than 50 varieties. One thing that makes this pandal so special is that the plants that have been used, are collected from the different districts of West Bengal and it is the club members who nurtured them for months.
