An RPF constable saved a passenger from falling into the gap between the platform and train at Hyderabad's Begumpet Railway station.
A constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), K Sanitha, saved a passenger from falling under a moving train while boarding at the Begumpet Railway Station in Hyderabad. The video of the incident is now being widely shared. Sanitha saved the passenger from falling into the gap between the platform and train.

According to an IANS report, the woman tried to board the Lingampalli-Falaknuma Express train after it started moving from the station suddenly the passenger lost control and faced the risk of falling into the gap between the train and the platform. RPF constable K Sanitha who noticed the passenger almost falling into the gap rushed towards her and saved her by pulling her away.

"Displaying exceptional presence of mind, Sanitha rushed to save the passenger's life. She caught hold of her and pulled her out, saving her life. The passenger, Saraswathi, was successfully rescued, and a potential tragedy was averted," said a South Central Railway (SCR) official, as quoted by IANS.
The South Central Railway (SCR) highlighted this incident as part of their 'Jeevan Raksha' (life-saving) mission, which recognises the efforts of RPF personnel who put their own lives at risk to save others. This year alone, they have saved the lives of two passengers through their courageous actions.
Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of South Central Railway, congratulated Sanitha for her timely intervention, which ultimately saved the passenger's life. He praised her bravery and vigilance, emphasising that such acts not only boost the morale of the Railway Protection Force, but also inspire other railway staffers to undertake similar courageous efforts.
