Telangana: Failed In Intermediate Exams, Three Students Kill Themselves

The incidents occurred in Karimnagar district, Bhagyanagar and Khammam district.

Hyderabad: Three Intermediate students committed suicide in separate incidents on Tuesday after the Telangana Intermediate board exam results were announced on Tuesday. The incidents occurred in Karimnagar district, Bhagyanagar and another in Khammam district.

Sirikonda Sai, a student from Jujjularao Peta village, Kusumanchi zone, Khammam district, committed suicide by jumping into a well. He studied Intermediate first year at a private college in Kusumanchi. Sai failed intermediate exams and was upset over the results. Locals began looking for Sai after he went missing. Sai's body was found in the well. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and with the help of locals, police recovered the body.

In another incident, a 17-year-old girl ended her life on Tuesday night in Stambampalli, Velgatur Mandal, by jumping into an agricultural well after failing her intermediate exams. Yagandla Nirosha, an intermediate student at Dontapur Model School, reportedly failed two subjects in the intermediate results. 

In Hyderabad, Gowtham Kumar, 18, a student in the Intermediate 1st year at a corporate college in Narayanguda, hanged himself at his home in Chintalbasti due to low marks in MPC. The family members immediately rushed Gowtham to the nearby Mahaveer Hospital. Doctors who examined him confirmed that he was dead.
