The Income Tax raids are ongoing at the residence of Congress MLA Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in poll-bound Telangana on Thursday. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is the Congress MLA candidate from Palair constituency in Khammam district.

According to ANI, an Income Tax raid is underway at the residence of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is the Congress MLA candidate from Palair constituency in Khammam district. He has recently joined Congress from BRS.

Earlier, Income Tax Department raided residence and offices of Maheswaram Assembly Congress candidate Kicchenagari Laxma Reddy (a) KLRs and Badangpet Mayor Chigirintha Parijatha Narasimha Reddy in Hyderabad. The officials searched 10 places including Hyderabad residence of Reddy on last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday condemned the Income Tax raids on the house and offices of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He mentioned that the search took place at the residence of former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday, with the I-T raids carried out on Thursday against Srinivas Reddy. He added that prior to this, the raids had been conducted on several other Congress leaders.

“Modi - KD is worried after getting clear information that Congress tsunami is coming in the state. This is the trick to stop that tsunami. On November 30, the lotus and the car are sure to be drowned in the Congress tsunami,” the TPCC chief referring to BJP and BRS posted on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, as reported by IANS.
