Governor's Post Has Become Political Tool In Hands Of Modi Govt: Telangana Minister KTR
The remark comes amid souring relations between Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday alleged that the post of Governor has become a political tool in the hands of the BJP-led government at the Centre, calling it a "sad state of affairs".
"Have a look at all non-BJP governed states; you will see a similar clear pattern of non-cooperation and vengefulness. Is this the Cooperative Federalism model and Team India spirit that's going to help the nation grow and prosper?" KT Rama Rao tweeted.
KT Rama Rao was reacting to a tweet by the director of digital media for the Telangana government, Konatham Dileep.

Meanwhile, the KCR-led BRS criticised Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan for giving consent to only three out of 10 pending bills.
Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao said the Governor passed three bills that had been pending for a long time only because the case filed by the Telangana government had come up for hearing in the Supreme Court.
"Keeping bills pending for over seven months at the Governor's office was delaying the progress of the state in many ways," said Harish Rao.
