Andhra To Get Respite From Sweltering Heat Soon, IMD Predicts Thunderstorms On April 21-22
The Regional Met Department predicted light to moderate rainfall at isolated places over the north coastal, south coastal and Rayalaseema regions.
In a respite from the sweltering heat, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in parts of Andhra Pradesh from Thursday to Saturday. The Regional Meteorological Department (Amaravati) predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres/hour at isolated places over the north coastal, south coastal and Rayalaseema regions on Friday and Saturday.
As per the AP State Disaster Management Authority's (APSDMA) forecast, 29 mandals experienced heat wave conditions on Tuesday.
The heat wave hit 17 mandals in Anakapalli district, 2 mandals in Kakinada district, 1 in Krishna, 2 in Nandyal, 2 each in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram and 3 mandals in YSR Kadapa district.
The APSDMA in a statement said that a maximum temperature of 44.7 degrees was recorded in Kadapa town of YSR district, 44.5 degrees in Atmakur of Nandyala district, 44.5 degrees in Gospadu, 44.4 degrees in Kailasapatnam of Anakapalli district and 44.4 degrees in Saluru of Parvathipuram Manyam district on Tuesday.

Telangana Weather
The Regional Meteorological Department (Hyderabad) said thunderstorms accompanied with lighting and gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph are very likely to occur in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bhim, Asifabad, Manchiryala, Nirmal, Sangareddy and Kamareddy of Telangana for the next three days.

Hyderabad Weather
The sky was partly cloudy in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 39 degrees and 26 degrees, respectively. Winds are likely to blow from the southeast at a speed of 6 to 8 km per hour, the regional met department said.
