WhatsApp Automatic Albums Rolling Out On Windows Beta: Know What Is It And More

Meta-owned WhatsApp is adding the ability to let its users classify consecutive images and videos sent over the chat window on Windows beta.

Meta-owned WhatsApp is adding the ability to let its users classify consecutive images and videos sent over the chat window on Windows beta. This comes after the automatic albums feature was rolled out for Android and iOS beta. The ability to react to messages is still not available on WhatsApp beta for Windows (UWP version), but the company is now introducing the support for automatic albums, according to WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo.

What is WhatsApp Automatic Albums?

WhatsApp has been working on improving the UWP version of the app. After introducing the ability to share view once photos and record voice notes, WhatsApp is now rolling out to beta users the ability to group consecutive photos and videos! WABetaInfo shared a screenshot that showed WhatsApp is now bringing the same feature that is already available on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS: automatic albums.

"Thanks to automatic albums, multiple consecutive images or videos shared in a chat are now automatically grouped into a single album. When users receive more than 3 photos or videos consecutively, they can now tap the automatic album to view its full collection," WABetaInfo wrote on its page.

"This feature is available to users that install the latest version of the Windows beta app from the Microsoft Store," the WhatsApp beta tracker added.

Meanwhile, earlier in May, the Meta-owned messaging platform started rolling out the ability for users on Android, iOS, Web and Desktop to react to messages. The company's message reactions are a much-awaited feature that brings the ability to post emoji reactions on the latest version of the app. The company added that it will continue improving them by adding an even broader range of expressions in the future.
