Twitter Working To Add Ability Where Users Can Add Pronouns To Profile

New Delhi: Twitter is working to add the ability where a user can add pronouns to their profile. The pronouns can be added by Twitter users in the profile section along with other information, according to reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi. Twitter gave the first hint of this feature last year when it reopened its form for verification requests. The micro-blogging site had teased some upcoming changes to its website back then. However, the company has not announced a timeline for the launch of the pronoun feature. It is also not known when it will be rolled out to Twitter users in India.
Now, according to Paluzzi there is ample proof that this feature of adding pronouns by the micro-blogging site is in the works and that the company may have actually started testing it. Paluzzi has discovered a yet-to-be rolled out section when users edit "your profile" that lets them add whatever pronoun they want to use, according to a report published in Engadget.
"#Twitter is working on the ability to add pronouns 👀," Plauzzi tweeted on Friday.
"You can add your pronouns to your #Twitter profile in the Edit Profile section 👇🏻," Plauzzi added in another tweet.

It should be noted that Twitter is late to the party of adding pronouns to a user's profile. Social networking giant Facebook lets its users choose their pronouns for years, though their options are limited to three. Meta-owned Instagram and Microsoft's LinkedIn also lets users display pronoins next to their profile.
