Buyers can pre-order the newly launched iPhone 15 series in India starting today (September 15). The pre-orders of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 2, Apple Watch Series 9 and second-gen AirPods Pro will start in India at 5:30pm IST. As reported earlier, India is among the first lot of countries where people can pre-order the new iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15 line will be available in the US and India at the same time.

Is Meta Putting Ads In WhatsApp?
Social networking giant Meta-owned WhatsApp has denied exploring adding ads to chats, in a bid to monetise the platform after a report by Financial Times said, citing three people familiar with the matter, that the firm is in the early stages of discussing whether advertisements should be shown on the platform. However, Will Cathcart, head of WhatsApp at Meta posted on X, formerly Twitter that the story is "false".

PLI: Domestic Firm Exploring Laptop Production In India With US, China Firms
Homegrown contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies is exploring producing laptops in India in collaboration with companies based in the US and China, under the government's revised production linked investment (PLI) scheme 2.0. Noida-headquartered Dixon is mulling to invest Rs 250 crore, in a bid to expand its local manufacturing and production facility, said a report by ET Telecom, citing sources with the knowledge of the development. The homegrown company is likely in the advanced stages of talks with Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard (HP), to begin locally manufacturing laptops and meet targets under the Centre's new PLI scheme.
