Study Reveals AI Tool That May Accurately Generate Doctors' Notes
A recent study reveals a groundbreaking AI computer programme capable of generating doctors' notes so convincingly that two physicians couldn't distinguish between those and notes written by actual medical professionals. This development suggests the potential for AI to significantly enhance efficiency in healthcare support. In the proof-of-concept study, physicians accurately identified the correct author of patient notes -- some generated by the AI programme and others by actual doctors -- only 49 per cent of the time. Samsung's New Unit Is Here For New Biz Opportunities
Samsung Electronics, one of the top producers of memory chips and smartphones, has announced the establishment of a "Future Business Planning Division" as part of its annual executive reshuffle, aimed at probing new business prospects. The division will be helmed by Jun Young-hyun, a longstanding Samsung executive currently serving as vice chairman of Samsung SDI Co., a display unit within the Samsung Group. The company, retaining its co-CEOs Han Jong-hee and Kyung Kye-hyun, seeks leadership stability approximately a year after Chairman Lee Jae-yong assumed control. The newly formed unit is dedicated to exploring business opportunities beyond Samsung's existing operations.

Xiaomi HyperOS Rolling Out For More Devices
Handset maker Xiaomi has announced the introduction of its new HyperOS to more smartphone models, including the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12S, and the Redmi K50 Series, among others. To recall, last month, the handset maker had unveiled HyperOS, its latest proprietary mobile operating system (OS). HyperOS was introduced at an event alongside Xiaomi 14 series is described as a "human-centric, smart ecosystem for humans, cars, and homes", and has been developed by Xiaomi over a span of seven years.
