Swiggy Dives Into AI-Powered Services For Professionals With New App 'Pyng'

Currently live in Bengaluru, Pyng is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Swiggy, best known for transforming food delivery in India, is now setting its sights on a whole new market — professional services. The company has unveiled Pyng, a standalone mobile app that uses conversational AI to connect users with verified experts across a wide spectrum of categories, from wellness and education to finance and events.

Currently live in Bengaluru, Pyng is available on both Android and iOS platforms. The app operates in offline mode within the city and in online mode across India. Designed as a separate marketplace, Pyng marks Swiggy’s latest effort to diversify beyond its core delivery business and tap into the needs of busy urban professionals.

100+ Services, One Platform

What sets Pyng apart is its conversational AI engine that helps users describe their needs and get matched with suitable professionals. Whether you're looking for a therapist, tax consultant, fitness coach, DJ, or makeup artist — Pyng aims to make the process seamless and efficient.

According to Swiggy, the platform is already onboarding professionals across more than 100 service categories. The company plans to add over 10,000 verified providers in the coming months, ensuring that users have access to a wide and reliable network of specialists.

To build trust and encourage trial, Pyng also offers a money-back guarantee if users feel they didn’t get value from the service they booked — a rare move in the service marketplace ecosystem.

“With Pyng, we’re offering a reliable, spam-free platform where users can connect with trusted experts,” said Nandan Reddy, Co-founder and Head of Innovation at Swiggy. “By curating demand for these specialised offerings, Pyng not only empowers individual providers but also brings structure to consumers’ latent needs.”

Breaking Up the Super App

Pyng’s debut comes as part of Swiggy’s broader decision to unbundle its offerings. Earlier this year, the company revealed its plan to move away from the one-app-does-it-all model. Along with Pyng, Swiggy is also spinning out Instamart (grocery delivery) and Snacc (quick food delivery) into standalone apps. Snacc, for instance, is already being tested in select Bengaluru locations with a promise of 15-minute food delivery.

This modular app strategy puts Swiggy on a path similar to rival Zomato, which has already created distinct platforms for Blinkit and Zomato District. For Swiggy, Pyng could be the start of something much bigger — a deeper integration into the daily lives of its users beyond just meals and groceries.
