Galaxy S21 One UI 6.1: What New Features Does It Bring

The One UI 6.1 update introduces a range of fresh features, some of which are powered by Galaxy AI technology. These enhancements include Circle to Search, AI-driven image editing suggestions, the ability to copy and paste objects between images, more precise image clipping, improved Gallery app search functionality, and the option to adjust playback speed in specific sections of videos. Additionally, users can initiate video editing, export edited files to another Galaxy device, and seamlessly continue editing there.

Moreover, users can now customise wallpapers, add new widgets to the lock screen, personalise alarm alerts, apply custom stickers to calendar entries, modify reminder alerts, and select icons for reminder categories. With One UI 6.1, it's possible to enable or disable Modes & Routines directly from the home screen, reorder Modes, and establish new conditions for Routines.

The update also introduces the Quick Share feature, which allows users to track their devices using the dedicated Samsung Find app, share their location with others, and synchronise Samsung Internet tab groups across multiple devices. Samsung Cloud now provides enhanced data protection, while Samsung Wallet now supports passkeys.

In Samsung Health, users can challenge themselves by comparing their workout results with their previous records. They can set additional daily goals, such as active hours and floors climbed. Women also have the option to track their menstrual cycles, record moods, and monitor physical symptoms within Samsung Health.

With the One UI 6.1 update, accessing Microphone Modes and Video Call Effects is simpler. The Weather widget now provides more detailed information. Users can simultaneously open all minimised apps and utilise voice input without exiting the keyboard. There are also new methods available to conserve the battery life of the Galaxy S21 while charging. Furthermore, the Finder screen now delivers relevant web search results via Google Search. Additionally, the update includes the Google Messages app if it wasn't previously installed.
