Samsung CEO Visits BKC Store, Invites People To Experience Newest AI Advancements. Says India Is Next Playground For AI

Han said that the BKC store aims to showcase how Samsung’s AI innovations can provide smarter and more intuitive experiences for its devices.

Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of the Device Experience division at Samsung Electronics, recently made his first visit to Samsung BKC at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai. During this visit, he emphasised Samsung's dedication to the Indian market by introducing AI and hyper-connectivity to its tech-savvy customers. He extended an invitation to consumers to explore Samsung's newest AI advancements across its range of products, including televisions, digital appliances, and smartphones. During his visit, he also said that India is the “next playground for AI.”

Han said, “India has a large population of tech-savvy young consumers that inspire us to innovate. Here, thousands of young, enterprising youth work at our R&D centres to bring cutting-edge technologies such as AI to the world. We are proud of them.”

He added, “AI will enable connected technologies to improve people’s daily lives while always remaining non-intrusive and in the background. With our model of open collaboration, we want to bring AI and hyper-connectivity to all our consumers. India is the next big playground for AI and our flagship Samsung BKC store is an embodiment of our ‘AI for All’ vision and will showcase ‘One Samsung’.”

He then said that this store aims to showcase how Samsung’s AI innovations can provide smarter and more intuitive experiences across the lineup of smartphones, TVs, appliances, and other connected devices.

Han emphasised that AI will facilitate the seamless integration of new connected technologies into people's daily lives, operating discreetly in the background. Through an "open collaboration" model, Samsung aims to democratise AI and connectivity for all consumers.

This AI-centric strategy was showcased at CES earlier this year when Samsung introduced new AI features such as "Galaxy AI" for its latest Galaxy S24 smartphone series. Han is confident that India's vast population of young, technology-savvy users will drive further AI innovation.

Samsung is reinforcing its commitment to the Indian market, where it has been actively present for over 28 years, operating manufacturing plants, R&D centers, and a design hub that employs thousands of professionals. Han acknowledged the contribution of Indian engineers in bringing cutting-edge technologies like AI to a global audience.
