Krafton has confirmed that the pre-registrations of Battlegrounds Mobile India will begin on May 18. The PUBG fans who had been awaiting its comeback in India will be able to pre-register for the game via the Google Play store.

The initial pre-registration on the Google Play store hints that the game may have its initial release for Android users only. Details related to the pre-registration on Apple App store have not been provided yet.

In an official press release, the company stated “there will be specific rewards available for fans to claim, only if they pre-register the game. These rewards would be specific to Indian players only.”

To pre-register for Battlegrounds Mobile India, users will have to visit the Google Play Store page of the game and click on the “Pre-Register” button there. Soon after, the rewards will automatically be available to claim on game launch.

The company added: “Krafton’s brand new game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices. We request players to stay tuned, stay masked and stay safe, for additional details on the pre-registration rewards”.

PUBG's comeback after the ban last year has been highly awaited. Earlier, it was reported that the developers despite announcing an India-specific subsidiary are facing technical and legal hurdles in bringing back the game to its massive Indian userbase. The rumours and speculations have been put to rest after the announcement last week.
