OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Same Bloodline, Different DNA. Which One's Better? Find Out

Both OnePlus 13s and OnePlus 13 are pushing the Android flagship experience forward. The difference is how much you’re willing to pay for the polish.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: The OnePlus 13s has officially landed in India today, positioning itself as the more affordable sibling of the flagship OnePlus 13 that launched earlier this year. With a tempting price tag of Rs 54,999 compared to the Rs 69,998 premium for the OnePlus 13, the new entrant promises top-tier performance without the flagship guilt.

But just how much is OnePlus holding back with the 13s — and how much is it giving?

Let’s break down the key differences between these two Snapdragon-powered beasts.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Display & Design

The OnePlus 13 features a larger 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a stunning 1440x3168 resolution and a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making it a visual powerhouse. It’s clad in Crystal Shield Super-Ceramic Glass and offers Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.

The newer OnePlus 13s dials it down slightly with a 6.32-inch ProXDR LTPO display (1216x2640 resolution). But what it loses in size, it makes up for in efficiency — offering a higher screen-to-body ratio (~94.1%) and a featherweight 185g build that’s far more pocket-friendly. Both devices support 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole camera designs.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Hardware & Charging

Both smartphones run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with Adreno 830 GPU, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage — so performance across multitasking, gaming, and app-switching should be nearly identical.

Where they part ways is in the charging game. The OnePlus 13 comes with 100W SUPERVOOC charging, 50W wireless AIRVOOC, and 10W reverse wired charging. The OnePlus 13s, meanwhile, supports 80W wired charging but skips wireless charging altogether. That’s a significant cut if convenience is your priority.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Camera Systems

Photography is where the OnePlus 13 flexes its flagship muscles. It comes with a triple 50MP setup — wide-angle (Sony LYT-808), periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and ultra-wide — all tuned with Hasselblad Color Calibration. It even supports 8K video recording at 30fps.

The 13s keeps things straightforward with a dual 50MP setup (wide + 2x telephoto) using the Sony LYT-700 sensor. It’s capable of 4K video at up to 60fps and supports both EIS and OIS. If you're not pixel-peeping or shooting documentaries, it more than gets the job done.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Battery & Features

Battery-wise, the OnePlus 13 sports a slightly larger 6000mAh cell compared to the 5850mAh pack in the 13s. Both phones include in-display fingerprint sensors, Face Unlock, and AI-driven features like AI Unblur, Google Gemini, and AI Reframe.

The OnePlus 13 also boasts an IP68/IP69 rating, wireless charging, and camera enhancements like Laser Focus and Spectral Sensor. The 13s, in contrast, offers IP65 resistance, Aqua Touch 2.0, a graphite cooling layer, and the G1 Wi-Fi chip.

OnePlus 13s Vs OnePlus 13: Who Should Buy What?

If you want the full-fat flagship experience — wireless charging, camera versatility, better water resistance, and premium glass — the OnePlus 13 is worth every extra rupee.

But if you’re looking for a smart compromise with identical performance and more than enough features for everyday use, the OnePlus 13s, fresh off its June 5 launch, offers serious value without skimping where it counts.

Two phones, one goal: pushing the Android flagship experience forward. The difference is how much you’re willing to pay for the polish.
