What Does Katy Perry's Back QR Tattoo Open Up To? Here's What Happens If You Scan It

Katy Perry's risqué back QR code tattoo wasn't just cosmetic. It is actually a portal to something her fans would absolutely flip over for.

Katy Perry, the 13-time Grammy-nominated singer popular for power pop ballads such as "Roar" and "Firework" has once again made waves, blending fashion with tech in her latest daring appearance at a star-studded 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, popularly known as the VMAs. Known for her eclectic style, Perry pushed the boundaries of red-carpet fashion with a look that got everyone talking.

Stepping onto the black carpet (an event special), Perry exuded confidence, donning a bold white bralette paired with a low-rise skirt by avant-garde brand Who Decides War. With her wet-look curls and a luminous glow, she effortlessly stole the spotlight

However, what really caught the attention of fans and media alike was Perry’s unique accessory — a QR code tattoo on her lower back.

What Does Katy Perry's QR Code Mean?

Far from just a bold fashion statement, the scannable tattoo links directly to a pre-save page for her upcoming album, "143", which is set to release on September 20. The album is titled after what Perry considers as her symbolic "angel number". This innovative combination of fashion and technology was a perfect representation of Perry’s knack for creativity.

Adding to her futuristic flair, Perry completed her look with an armpiece reminiscent of her "Woman’s World" era, highlighting her signature style of mixing avant-garde fashion with interactive elements.
