Jio AirFiber Vs Airtel Xstream AirFiber: Price, Plan Benefits, Availability, All You Need To Know
While Jio AirFiber is available in eight cities, Airtel Xstream AirFiber is only available in two cities.
Reliance Jio introduced its AirFiber service earlier this month, offering a new fixed wireless access (FWA) option for prospective users. Notably, Jio is not the exclusive provider of 5G-powered high-speed Internet, as Airtel has also introduced its Xstream AirFiber with similar features, albeit at a distinct price point and limited availability.
A comparison of pricing, speed, and accessibility between Jio AirFiber and Airtel Xstrean AirFiber is as follows:
In terms of pricing, Airtel presents the Xstream AirFiber with a 6-month package priced at Rs 4,435, with an additional Rs 2,500 security deposit. The total cost for the initial six months amounts to Rs 7,733. This plan provides a data speed of 100 Mbps.
On the other hand, Reliance Jio AirFiber offers monthly, half-yearly, and yearly plans. Their basic monthly plan is priced at Rs 599, with an additional Rs 1,000 charge for an outdoor unit (to be installed on the customer's rooftop or terrace). In order to lure more buyers, Jio will waive this charge if the user opts for a 6-month or 12-month plan.
Monthly plans for Jio AirFiber are as follows:
- Rs 599: 30 Mbps speed, unlimited calls, 550+ TV channels, and 14 OTT apps
- Rs 899: 100 Mbps speed, 550+ TV channels, and 14 OTT apps
