Heard Viral Song On Instagram Reels But Don't Know Its Name? You Can Now Add It To Your Spotify Playlist Within Seconds
To save a song you discovered in an Instagram reel, post, or story, simply tap on the song's name and click on Add button to add the song to your Spotify playlist.
Short-form videos have become increasingly popular thanks to social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Instagram, in particular, has taken note of TikTok's influence and is now introducing a new feature that allows users to directly add songs from reels, posts, and short videos to their Spotify playlists. This feature, inspired by TikTok’s functionality, is aimed at making it easier for users to integrate music they discover on the platform into their everyday playlists.
In a recent announcement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram revealed that this new feature is being rolled out to all users. The update is especially convenient for music lovers who often come across new tracks on Instagram. Instead of having to manually search for a song on Spotify after hearing it in a post, users can now seamlessly add it to their playlists without leaving the app. This enhancement streamlines the user experience and bridges the gap between discovering music and curating personal playlists on Spotify.

How To Add Song To Spotify From Instagram
To save a song you discovered in an Instagram reel, post, or story, simply tap on the song's name. On the next screen, you'll see an "Add" button with a Spotify icon next to the audio player. By clicking the "Add" button, Instagram will prompt you to link your Instagram account to Spotify. After selecting "Link Spotify," the song will be added directly to your Spotify playlist.
However, unlike other platforms like TikTok, which offer users the ability to save songs across various music streaming services, Instagram currently only supports Spotify integration. This may be less convenient for users who prefer platforms such as YouTube Music or Apple Music.
Instagram has been rolling out a variety of new features in recent weeks. Among the latest additions are a customisable Profile Card and AI-powered video tools aimed at enhancing the experience for advertisers on the platform.
