Homegrown Dixon Technologies' Subsidiary Joins Hands With Nokia To Make Telecom Products

Dixon Technologies stated that Nokia Solutions and Networks OY is a provider of advanced communications equipment and terminals, as well as accessories and connectivity solutions.

A subsidiary of the homegrown company Dixon Technologies has inked a deal with global telecommunications firm Nokia for the development and manufacturing of telecom products, the media has reported. The announcement was made on Tuesday.

Dixon Technologies stated that Nokia Solutions and Networks OY is a provider of advanced communications equipment and terminals, as well as accessories and connectivity solutions.

Dixon Technologies (India) is one of the leading domestic companies specialising in design-focused solutions and engaged in contract manufacturing across various sectors, including consumer durables, lighting, and mobile phones, within the Indian market.

"This association will give a strong impetus to India’s manufacturing competitiveness. There is tremendous scope and potential in the Telecom product market and it’s gratifying that Nokia has partnered with Dixon for its Telecom products segment," Atul B Lall, VC and MD, Dixon Technologies, said in a statement, according to news agency IANS.

"We are sure that with their vision and stringent industry-leading processes, combined with our expertise in manufacturing, Nokia’s customers are going to have an enriching experience," he added.

The company announced that the devices will be manufactured at DEAPL's facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Dixon Technologies produces goods for the consumer durables, lighting, and mobile phone sectors in the country. Their product lineup encompasses a variety of offerings, including consumer electronics such as LED TVs, home appliances like washing machines, lighting solutions like LED bulbs, tube lights, and downlighters, as well as mobile phones, among others.

To recall, homegrown Dixon Technologies last year joined hands with Xiaomi to produce their smartphones at its Noida factory, which was inaugurated by Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, announced that the production of Xiaomi handsets will be done at its Noida factory, backed by an investment worth Rs 256 crore.
