Google Keep for Android is introducing a new feature that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to help users create lists. This new functionality, known as “Help me create a list,” is being rolled out to Android users and allows them to generate lists tailored to their needs, whether it’s for packing for a camping trip, grocery shopping, or making a bucket list. This feature builds on other planned updates for Google Keep, such as the ability to resize app windows on Android.

Google Keep New Features
Powered by Gemini, Google's suite of large language models (LLMs), the “Help me create a list” feature was also showcased during the Made by Google event on August 13, alongside the new Pixel 9 series. According to Google, this AI-driven tool can help users create various lists, including shopping lists and to-do lists.
To use this feature, users simply need to describe the list they want to create and input their specific requirements. After tapping Create, the app will automatically generate the list. This option is accessible via a floating action button (FAB) in the Google Keep app for Android.

In addition to the features mentioned, Google Keep has been experimenting with several new functionalities in recent months, with some already being implemented. In June, the app gained multi-account support, allowing users to manage multiple accounts simultaneously in side-by-side windows. This enhancement builds on the multi-instance support introduced in 2023.
Another upcoming feature for Google Keep is the ability to resize windows. This functionality will allow users to either maximize or adjust windows to predefined sizes. It is expected to be available through a new sliding pane layout, offering more flexibility in customizing window dimensions without fixed ratios.
