Bengaluru Saw The Most Users On THIS Extra-Marital App In 2024, Mumbai Ranks Second

On the app, claimed to be operated by women for women, nearly 40 per cent of women users spend up to 45 minutes daily on the platform.

Gleeden, an extra-marital dating platform, has crossed the significant milestone of 3 million users in India, driven by a remarkable 270 per cent surge in its user base during 2024, as per data shared by the app. Notably, women users on the platform grew by 128 per cent, with women now making up 58 per cent of the total user base. The app also shared details on which cities led in terms of usage last year.

Which City Leads On Gleeden Usage In India?

As first reported by Moneycontrol, among cities, Bengaluru emerged as the leader with 20 per cent of the app's Indian users. Mumbai followed closely with 19 per cent, Kolkata at 18 per cent, and Delhi at 15 per cent. While metro cities have traditionally dominated Gleeden’s user base, the platform has also seen rising interest from smaller cities such as Bhopal, Vadodara, and Kochi.

According to the Gleeden report, nearly 40 per cent of women users on the app spend up to 45 minutes daily on the platform. Many of these users fall within the 30-45 age group, reflecting a demographic shift toward more mature users exploring unconventional relationships.

What Is Gleeden?

The Gleeden app, claimed to be operated by women for women, allows women users to access its services for free. Men are evaluated by female members, ensuring a selective and controlled platform experience.

Gleeden markets itself as a space for individuals seeking discreet encounters outside conventional relationship structures. The platform provides personalised advice from in-house experts to support users in navigating their online interactions.

Gleeden attributes this widespread growth not only to evolving relationship dynamics but also to the platform’s emphasis on safety and privacy.

Sybil Shiddell, Country Manager for Gleeden in India, highlighted the changing societal norms that have fueled the app's expansion. “India has always been a pivotal market for Gleeden, and reaching the 3 million user mark is a testament to the evolving perceptions of relationships in the country. The growing interest of women users highlights the importance of platforms that prioritise safety, discretion, and freedom of choice in today’s world,” she said.

This surge in popularity underscores a significant cultural shift, highlighting how digital platforms like Gleeden are redefining the narrative of relationships in modern India.
