Apple Finally Explains Why They Positioned Power Button Of M4 Mac Mini At The Bottom

Apple M4 Mac Mini can be bought in India at the price of Rs 60,000.

Apple launched Apple M4 Mac Mini recently and it has been well received amongst tech enthusiasts. People are amazed by the palm-sized device packing the power of a full-fledged computer inside. There is one aspect of the Apple M4 Mac Mini that is being widely talked about in the industry and it is the placement of the power button. The power button on the Apple M4 Mac Mini is placed at the bottom of the device which has left users with just one question, i.e., "Why?"

Users were questioning why the iPhone maker put such a critical part of the Apple M4 Mac Mini at the bottom of it. Apple has finally answered these questions in an interview.

Why Is Apple M4 Mac Mini's Power Button At The Bottom?

Two Apple executives, John Ternus and Greg Joswiak, were quoted as saying, “Well, we’ve shrunk the size of it so much, right? It’s equivalent to half the size of the previous generation. So we needed to put the power button in the most appropriate spot because it’s so small. It’s convenient to press. Just tuck your finger in there and hit the button."

They added, “In fact, the most important thing is you pretty much never use the power button on your Mac. I don’t even remember the last time I turned on a Mac."

In short, what Apple wants is that users never turn off their Macs which explains the reason for them putting the power button at the bottom of the device. However, if someone wishes to turn off their Apple M4 Mac Mini despite Apple's explanation then they can easily do so by pressing the power button on the bottom of the device.
