Messenger Users Can Now Share HD Images, Share Albums, Send Files Up To 100MB. All You Need To Know

Messenger users can directly send files up to 100MB from their phones. This update supports a wide array of file types, including Word, PDF, and Excel documents.

Facebook's chatting platform, Messenger, has introduced several new functionalities that promise to elevate the way users share memories and documents. As of Tuesday, users can now enjoy creating shared photo albums, sending high-definition images, and transferring files up to 100MB directly within their chats. This move by Meta is seen as an effort to provide a more integrated and versatile platform, particularly appealing to those who frequently share multimedia content and large files, often resorting to external services like Google Drive for these purposes.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to Facebook to share the new updates.

How To Share HD Photos On Messenger

Messenger is stepping up its game by allowing users to send photos in high-definition quality, ensuring that your pictures look clearer and more vibrant than ever.

Activating this feature is straightforward: users can simply select a photo within their chat, switch on the HD option, and then send it. This feature is not limited to single images; multiple HD photos can be shared in one go, enhancing the sharing experience without compromising on quality.

How To Share Albums On Messenger

Whether it's capturing the joy of a family gathering or the adventure of a spring break trip, Messenger now enables users to create and share albums within group chats. This feature supports photos and videos, allowing for a rich, collaborative space where memories can be collected, organised, and enjoyed.

Users can start a new album with ease or contribute to existing ones, with options to add, delete, and download content. To ensure easy navigation, these albums can be accessed anytime under the Media section of the group chat. This rollout is expected to reach all users in the upcoming weeks, promising a more communal and interactive experience.

Share Contact Details With QR

To streamline the process of adding new contacts, Messenger has introduced a QR code feature. This eliminates the need to manually type out names or numbers, offering a quick and efficient alternative. Users can find their QR code in the Settings menu, ready to be scanned or shared via a link, facilitating instant connections.

Transfer Large Files

The frustration of having to switch to email for sending large files is now a thing of the past. Messenger users can directly send files up to 100MB from their phones. This update supports a wide array of file types, including Word, PDF, and Excel documents, making it incredibly convenient for both personal and professional file-sharing needs.

This suite of new features by Messenger marks a significant leap towards making digital communication more seamless and enjoyable, positioning the platform as a more versatile tool for sharing life’s moments and essential documents alike.
