Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Down Globally In Major Outage
According to Downdetector.com, Instagram was down for over 30,000 users, while Facebook was down for over 6,000 users and WhatsApp was down for over 31,000 users.
Meta is currently experiencing a major outage across its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger, and WhatsApp for thousands of users globally.
Internet users took to social media platform X to report the outage of these services. Social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads was not loading for several users, while messages went undelivered on instant messaging app WhatsApp.
#Instagramdown and #Facebookdown remained the top trends on X on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The WhatsApp users globally reported errors in sending and receiving messages.
As noted by Downdetector.com, there has been a sharp increase in reported outages from users of these apps. While, Instagram was down for over 30,000 users, while Facebook was down for over 6,000 users and WhatsApp was down for over 31,000 users, the website stated.

There has been no immediate response from Meta at the time the report was published. As per reports, UK, parts of Europe, Asia, Australia and South America reported outages in accessing and loading the internet platforms.
