Market Share

As of September 2024, Apple Mail dominates the global email market with a 53.67 per cent share, followed by Gmail at 30.70 per cent. Other significant players include Outlook (4.38 per cent), Yahoo! Mail (2.64 per cent), and Google Android (1.72 per cent), reported Times Now World. However, a new email feature supported by the world’s wealthiest individual and the future US President-elect’s close associate could position a potential "Xmail" as a formidable competitor to both Gmail and possibly even Apple Mail.

Social media users, particularly fans of Elon Musk, have responded positively to this development.

Netizens React To Xmail

Far-right commentator Gunther Eagleman, one of Musk's biggest cheerleaders on X, wrote, "How about the xPhone? We’re all ready for 1."

Another wrote, "Yes, please make this happen ASAP. Sick and tired of the stranglehold google has on everything. Free email like you freed X!"

A third user wrote, "I’m looking for a new email account. Please, address this asap! 𝕏  email will be 𝕏tra 𝕏ceptional!"
