Elon Musk on Twitter: 'Honored to meet @Pontifex yesterday,' Elon Musk posted about his meeting with Pope Francis.
Elon Musk on Twitter: Tesla CEO Elon Musk, along with his four children, met Pope Francis on Friday. He took to Twitter, the social media platform he is trying to buy, to announce the audience.
“Honored to meet @Pontifex yesterday,” Musk posted about the meeting, along with a photo of him and his teen children with the Pope.
There has been, however, no announcement by the Vatican about Musk's meeting with Pope Francis.

The Pope often meets eminent personalities in private at the Vatican hotel where he lives, in a special reception room, according to an AP report, which also said he usually appeals for use of wealth and technology to help the poorest when he meets corporate CEOs.
In a separate tweet, Musk also posted a past photo of him and his ex-wife Talulah Riley posing on a Venice street, which suggested he may have made a few more stops during his tour of the region.

Musk's Pope tweet came less than an hour after he shared a post saying he was feeling "a little bored", and one related to YouTuber Technoblade's demise.

Meanwhile, Musk's bid to buy Twitter remains in limbo.
It was reported that Twitter’s board recommended on June 21 that shareholders approve Musk’s $44 billion purchase proposal. Shares of Twitter, however, remain far below his offering price, putting the sale in considerable doubt, the AP report said.
