Is This What Elon Musk Meant When He Said Humans Will Inhabit Mars By 2025? Check His Viral Post Here

The video opens with a spaceship, showcasing visually striking skyscrapers and architecturally impressive buildings.

X owner Elon Musk has shared a glimpse of what he believes Mars would look like soon. Back in 2016, SpaceX chief Elon Musk said that if everything goes as per plans then people will be inhabiting Mars by the year 2025. During an interview at the Code Conference in southern California, Musk said “We should be able to launch people in 2024, with arrival in 2025.” Cut to now, he has posted a video on X that went viral.

The caption of Musk's post read, “Welcome to Mars” along with a video, which looks futuristic and highly advanced.

The video opens with a spaceship, showcasing visually striking skyscrapers and architecturally impressive buildings. However, one noticeable absence is the presence of greenery. The 1-minute 12-second clip quickly captured the internet's attention, with viewers flooding the comment section to share their thoughts. It has accumulated more than 29 million views, 217k likes, 28k repost and 24k comments (at the time of writing).

A user wrote, "What will the first city on Mars be called?"

One of the users pointed out the absence of greenery and wrote, "I was hoping for more greenery."

A user wrote, "I wish Elon Musk could make a video and explain how much money does it need to be able to build a life there. I am thinking how much should I invest and inherit to my future kids to build their lives there!👀"

Another wrote, "This looks cold, desolate, unwelcoming, and depressing. Why would anyone live in such a place? No color, no green, no flowers...ugly. This stuff looks cool in the movies, but that doesn't mean we should really live this way."

One of the users wanted a custom tailored environment and wrote, "The weather doesn't seem very attractive. Don't you have a Hawaï version of Mars?"

What Do We Know About Elon Musk’s Mars Dream?

Elon Musk’s early ambition of growing a rose on Mars has since evolved into a revolutionary shift in the space industry. His vision extends beyond just reaching Mars—he aims to establish a human colony on the Red Planet.

Musk’s ultimate goal is to make interplanetary living a reality within our lifetime, inspiring future generations to embrace the boundless possibilities of space exploration.
