"Civilisation only passes the single-planet Great Filter when Mars can survive even if Earth supply ships stop coming."

These declarations follow discussions about the capabilities of SpaceX's Starship rocket, a crucial component in Musk's Mars mission. Musk envisions a future where travelling to Mars becomes as routine as a domestic flight, underscoring his commitment to realising this bold vision.

While Musk's Martian ambitions are not new, his recent statements suggest a heightened urgency within SpaceX to materialise these objectives within a few years. Just last week, Musk predicted that Starship could reach the Moon within half a decade. Additionally, SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule is poised to push the boundaries of human exploration deeper into space than ever before, marking a significant leap forward in spacefaring capabilities.
