It should be noted that for now, the Disney+ ad-supported plan will only roll out in the US. There’s no word yet on when such a tier will arrive in India.

As per Disney, the ad-supported subscription offering will be launched on December 8.
Disney+ ad-supported plan: Price
Interestingly, the ad-supported plan will come at the same price as its current ad-free plan — $7.99 per month. There’s no annual subscription plan for this tier. Disney+ will be increasing the price of its ad-free plan at the same time.
Disney+ Premium price hike
Disney+ Premium, which won’t feature any ads, will be increased from $7.99 per month to $10.99 per month. Viewers can choose to go for an annual subscription for $109.99.
If we look at bundle plans, the Basic bundle (Disney+, Hulu with ads) will be priced at $9.99 per month. The other Basic bundle (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with ads) will be priced at $12.99 per month. If you go for the Premium bundle, which will offer Disney+ and Hulu without ads as well as ESPN+ with ads, you will have to dish out $19.99.
Will other OTTs follow Disney+?
Just like Disney+, Netflix is also planning to introduce an ad-supported tier in early 2023. Amazon Prime Video already shows brief ads at times, when you start watching a series or a movie on the platform. They are generally intended to promote upcoming, or recently released shows or movies.
Disney+ has a global subscriber base of 152.1 million, which includes 58.4 million Disney+ Hotstar subscribers.
