Chandrayaan-3 Successful Landing Creates YouTube History, Becomes Most Watched Livestream Ever
In a historical event, India’s Chandrayaan-3 has made a succesful soft landing on the Moon, marking India as the first country to make it to the south pole of our planet’s satellite.
India has successfully completed its moon mission as the Chandrayaan-3 made a successful soft landing today on the moon's surface. As successful as India’s historical moon mission was the livestream of the landing. The Chandrayaan-3 Live Stream broke Spanish streamer Ibai’s World Record of 3.4 million viewers. Over 3.6 million people are watching the Chandrayaan-3 Live Stream on YouTube now, which is a new streaming world record on the platform. The soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
After setback with the Chandrayaan-2 mission in 2019, India’s space agency ISRO has achieved a remarkable feat with the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface. The Chandrayaan-3 has landed on the south pole of the moon, making India the first country to land on the south pole of our planet’s satellite. Overall, India is the fourth country to land on the moon.
The success of the Chandrayaan-3 has sparked joy and sparkles all around the country uniting every Indian. PM Modi who is in South Africa now for the BRICS Summit also joined in the landing event and cheered India’s enormous space success. "Sir we have achieved a soft landing on the Moon. India is on the Moon," ISRO Chief S Somnath told PM Modi who cheered up by waving the flag of India, after the successful touchdown of Vikram Lander.
"We have become the first country to go near the South Pole of the Moon," Chandrayaan-3’s Project Director, P Veeramuthuvel said after the touchdown, terming the event as “immense satisfaction."
"We are witness to the new flight of new India. New history has been written. This is a moment to cherish forever. India is now on the moon. This is a year in which the world is witnessing India’s G20 presidency. Our approach of 'One Earth, One Family, One Future' is resonating across the globe,” PM Modi said while addressing the success of Chandrayaan-3.
