BGMI Parent Krafton Now Bans Almost 60,000 Accounts For Cheating. Details

BGMI parent company Krafton is continuing its crackdown against illegal activities that affect the gaming environment and now it has banned almost 60,000 accounts from the platform for cheating.

New Delhi: Battlegrounds Mobile India's (BGMI) parent company Krafton is continuing its crackdown against illegal activities that affect the gaming environment and now it has announced that it has banned almost 60,000 accounts from the platform for cheating.

"Dear BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA fans, 58,611 accounts were permanently banned from Dec 20 ~ Dec 26. We would also like to present you the entire list of cheaters who have tried to ruin our Battlegrounds. Click to see (or Click to download)," BGMI parent wrote in a post.

South Korea-based Krafton Inc has been taking strict measures to check illegal activities and it had banned almost 1 lakh accounts for cheating between December 13 and December 19 only.

"BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA will strive to implement strong sanctions with the ultimate goal of eradicating the use of illegal programs in order to provide you a pleasant gaming environment," Krafton added in the post.

Earlier last week, Krafton had announced that it will introduce even stricter measures and that the game developers will now ban the device itself, and not just the associated account that is found to be involved in cheating or hacking the popular battle royale game.

The device ban became applicable starting December 24. BGMI developer Krafton mentioned that if the use of illegal programs is detected with a mobile device by the newly applied security logic, the device will be permanently banned from using BGMI battle royale game.

With this, BGMI parent Krafton is intending to crack down on players using illegal software to play the battle royale game using the same device. This move would make sure that players who get caught cheating would be banned and won't be able to cheat again unless they get a new device.
