iOS 18 Developers Beta will be compatible with several iPhone models, starting from the latest iPhone 15 series to the iPhone X lineup.

Apple has announced that the official release of iOS 18 will coincide with the launch of the iPhone 16 series in September. However, for those eager to explore the new features ahead of time, the first developer beta of iOS 18 is now available. The public beta is set to roll out next month. The new iOS 18 introduces a plethora of new features, with a significant focus on artificial intelligence (AI) integration, particularly showcased through Apple Intelligence.

Apple iOS 18: How To Download

Keep in mind that Developers Beta is a very early version of the final iOS 18. It is still a work in progress and you might experience bugs, glitches, and even crashes (especially if you are using an older iPhone model). So, it is highly advised that you should only download the Developers Beta if you are confident enough, and have a spare phone for daily usage.

Follow these steps to download iOS 18 Beta: 

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to the General section
  • Select Software Update
  • Tap on Beta Updates
  • Choose the iOS 18 Developer Beta option
  • Go back and select Download and Install under the new iOS 18 Developer Beta option
  • Enter your passcode and accept the terms and conditions
