Airtel Outage: Airtel users across the country experienced significant disruptions in mobile and broadband services on Thursday morning, leaving many unable to make calls or access the internet. while Downdetector showed a massive outage across the country, some users took to the social media to vent their frustration.
What Does Downdetector Show?
According to outage tracker Downdetector, complaints about the network issue began to surge around 10:30 am.
The outage appeared to impact a broad spectrum of services. Around 40 per cent of users reported problems on Downdetector with mobile internet, while an almost equal number cited a complete blackout of services. Additionally, 22 per cent faced issues with signal loss, suggesting a widespread technical failure affecting multiple cities.
As per Downdetector's outage map, users were mostly affected in cities such as New Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nagpur, and Mumbai.
Some users reported that their devices displayed "No Network" for extended periods, further compounding their frustration. Airtel has yet to release an official statement addressing the cause of the outage or providing a timeline for resolution.
At the time of writing, the outage reports on Downdetector were on a sharp downward curve. Additionally, ABP Live could independently verify that Airtel voice calling and internet were working fine in Noida.
