The video by TNTJ members was shared by TN BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan on Twitter.

Chennai: Madurai police on Saturday booked three Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) functionaries under five sections of IPC for issuing life threats against judges who gave Hijab case verdict in Karnataka High Court.

The police are also on the lookout to nab the three accused who are on the run.

According to a report by ABP Nadu, BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan shared a video of TNTJ functionaries and claimed the functionaries said that they will not follow the court judgment.

As per her tweet, they also issued life threats to the judges.

"Is this what you mean by the governance of law @mkstalin," Vanathi asked.

Following the video, the police started the investigation and found out that the functionary issued the threat during a TNTJ protest meet that took place in Madurai on March 17.

Further, the police booked TNTJ members including Coimbatore Ramanthullah, Madurai district leader Asan Batsha, Madurai deputy secretary Habibullah under five sections of IPC.

Meanwhile, in the video released by TNTJ, a functionary said, "Do not think people have accepted the hijab judgment. If any judge gets into any untoward incidents tomorrow then we are not responsible for it but the judges are the reason for it."

"If you'll book a case against me for issuing a threat, it just means we fought for hijab and went to prison," he remarked.
