Tamil Nadu: Man Attends Lover's Wedding, Snatches 'Thaali' From Priest & Tries To Tie It To Her

The police said that the bride had also sent a text to the man saying "come and get" before the dramatic scene unfolded in the hall.

Chennai: A 24-year-old man who went to attend his lover's wedding on Friday instead snatched the 'thaali' (Mangalsutra) from the priest and attempted to tie it to the bride at a marriage hall in Nethaji Nagar of Tondiarpet. However, the bride’s family pulled him down from the stage and thrashed him for his act.

According to a report on Times of India, two families arranged for a marriage between a 20-year-old management employee and a 21-year-old marine engineer. The marriage was scheduled for Friday.
