Kamal Haasan Admitted To Chennai Hospital, To Be Discharged In A Day Or Two

Kamal Haasan was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for fever treatment.

Chennai: Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) for treatment of a fever on Wednesday. After a thorough health check-up, the Bigg Boss star has been advised complete rest.

According to a bulletin by Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, "Kamal Haasan was admitted on 23.11.2022 with mild fever, cold and cough. He is recovering well and will be discharged in a day or two." 

According to India Today, Kamal Haasan developed a fever on Wednesday. Following this, he was admitted to a hospital in Porur. 

Later, the doctors performed a thorough checkup and advised him to take complete rest for the next two days. 

The actor recently met his mentor K Vishwanath in Hyderabad. The actor-director collaborated on movies including Swati Muthiyam and Sagara Sangamam

On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in the blockbuster film Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film's cast also included Fahad Fazil, Vijay Sethupathi, Gayathri, Suriya among others.

Currently, Kamal Haasan is hosting Bigg Boss Tamil

Kamal Haasan is shooting for Indian 2, KH234 and Vikram 2. He is also expected to collaborate with director Mari Selvaraj.

Meanwhile, the actor celebrated his 68th birthday on November 7. He received wishes from people across the country including politicians. 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also extended their wishes. 

Several actors, directors, producers, production houses and fans too wished him. 

On the eve of his birthday, Raaj Kamal Films International, the actor's production house, along with director Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies announced that Kamal Haasan would be playing the lead in a film that was to be directed by Mani Ratnam.

Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan will be working together again on a film, 35 years after they made the cult classic 'Nayagan'.

The collaboration between Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan is set to take place after 35 years. The duo last made the cult classic 'Nayagan'. The 234th film of Kamal is expected to hit the screen in 2024.
