Amit Shah To Visit TN Today, Likely To Review Preparations For 2024 Lok Sabha Polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Tamil Nadu on Saturday night to meet party workers, industrialists and for attending a public rally in Vellore on Sunday. During the visit, Shah is likely to sound a bugle for BJP at Vellore ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
On Saturday, upon his arrival, Amit Shah is set to meet BJP leaders and industrialists in Chennai. He is likely to then stay at a star hotel in Guindy.
On Sunday, Amit Shah is expected to meet leaders of Chennai South Lok Sabha constituency and booth committee members in Kovilambakkam. Later, he is scheduled to fly in a chopper to Vellore for a rally. In the rally, the Union Minister will highlight the achievements of BJP government led by PM Modi in the last nine years.
BJP Sources told DTNext that Shah will kickstart the preparations for the Lok Sabha polls 2024 and Assembly polls 2026 during the visit. As BJP already has 4 MLAs in the state, the party also aims to bag seats in TN during the Lok Sabha polls.
For the Lok Sabha polls, BJP mulls on settling with 11 seats while discussing poll sharing agreement with its ally, AIADMK. BJP is on plans to get Coimbatore, Ramanathapuram, The Nilgiris and Kanyakumari seats, said a report on Times of India.
Earlier, Amit Shah was scheduled to hold a meeting with AIADMK and TN BJP on seat sharing on June 8. However, the schedule remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu BJP has also planned to organise 66 public meetings across the state this month to highlight the achievements of BJP.
Meanwhile, Shah will also address meetings in Patan of Gujarat, Nanded of Maharashtra and Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh on June 10 and 11 on the achievements of BJP government.
