AIADMK Single Leadership Row: OPS Moves EC Seeking Stay Over General Council Meet On July 11

AIADMK Single Leadership Row: OPS also said that he is not convinced with appointment of Tamilmagan Hussain as presidium chairman of the party and he did not give his acceptance for the appointment.

Chennai: AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam moved Election Commission seeking the constitutional body to stay AIADMK general council meeting scheduled on July 11, 2022. OPS moved the EC with the help of his lawyer Manoj Pandian on Friday.

According to a report on ABP Nadu, O Panneerselvam said, "Tamilmagan Hussain was selected as the presidium chairman of the party but as the coordinator, I am not convinced with the decision. I did not give acceptance for his appointment."

"As there's no post as the general secretary of the party, the post of coordinator and co-coordinator was created in the party. However, efforts are being taken again to remove the dual leadership against party bylaws and create the post of General Secretary," he said.
